How PermaLip™ Can Enhance Your Appearance

If you wish your lips were larger, more symmetrical, or just plumper, you may have already tried things such as plumping lip glosses or lip injectables. However, those lip glosses quickly wear off and lip injections only last from around 6 months to a year. Luckily, there’s a permanent way to get the look you want: PermaLip™ implants.

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Mrudangi S. Thakur recommends these silicone implants to her patients who want to enhance their lips permanently. She offers PermaLip implants at her conveniently located offices in Jefferson Valley and Middletown, New York, making it easier than ever to get the look you’ve dreamed of.

A safe choice

PermaLip is made from a medical-grade, nonreactive solid silicone, meaning it doesn’t cause irritation or infection in your body. Additionally, because it’s a solid implant rather than filled, it won’t rupture or leak, making it one of the safest implant options available today.

Personalized sizes

Your beauty procedures should be as unique as you. That’s why we’re proud to offer PermaLip’s range of implant sizes. With different diameters and lengths, you can choose the exact implant to achieve the appearance you want, whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement or a bold new look.

Scar-free beauty

Sometimes scar tissue can form around implants in the body due to the rough texture of the implant surface. PermaLip is designed with a protective coating and a smooth surface to reduce the risk of developing scar tissue, making your results more predictable.

Permanent, yet reversible

Because PermaLip is made of silicone, it can last a lifetime. However, if for any reason you’d like to reverse the procedure, we can take out the PermaLip implant.

Similarly, PermaLip is easy to replace. If for whatever reason you’re not happy with your aesthetic outcome, we can replace your implant with another size more suited to your desired look.

PermaLip procedure

During a PermaLip consultation, you can share your concerns and aesthetic goals with Dr. Thakur. She also reviews your medical history and discusses the variety of PermaLip implant sizes available.

During your implantation procedure, Dr. Thakur starts by numbing your lips using an anesthetic similar to what would be used in a dental visit. She makes small incisions at the corner of your mouth to insert the flexible PermaLip implants that you’ve chosen.

After your implants are placed, Dr. Thakur adjusts them to sit perfectly in the middle of your lips and then seals the incisions with dissolvable stitches. After a few days, your stitches should disappear, leaving you with a permanently enhanced new look.

The entire procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes and doesn’t require a hospital stay or general anesthetic, meaning you can fit your procedure into your busy schedule and can return to most normal activity the next day.

With over 75% of RealSelf users rating lip implants as “Worth it,” it’s a great time to see if PermaLip is right for you. If you’re ready to permanently enjoy fuller, plumper lips, call one of our offices or book an appointment online today.
